Jules Hoffmann教授
Jules Hoffmann教授是出生于卢森堡的法国籍生物学家。他在法国斯特拉斯堡大学获得生物学以及化学博士学位。他于1994年至2006年间在法国国家科学研究中心(CNRS)细胞以及分子生物学研究所内建立并领导内分泌以及昆虫免疫实验室。至今,他与同事仍在此实验室共同工作。他曾任法国国家科学院院长(2007-2008),并为法国国家科学院、德国国家科学院、俄罗斯国家科学院、美国艺术以及科学院以及美国癌症研究协会院士。2011年,由于他对于天然免疫激活机制的重要发现,与Bruce Beutler教授以及Ralph Steinman教授共同获得诺贝尔生理学或医学奖。Hoffmann教授于2004年获得罗伯特•科赫免疫学奖(Robert Koch Prize 2004),2007年与Bruce Beutler教授共获巴尔赞天然免疫学奖(Balzan Prize 2007),2010年与Ruslan Medzhitov教授共获罗森斯蒂尔奖(Rosenstiel Award 2010), 2011年与静雄アキラ教授共同获得庆应义塾医学科学奖(Gairdner Award 2011), 2011获与Bruce Beutler教授and Ruslan Medzhitov教授得肖生命科学以及医学奖(Shaw Prize 2011)。并且他于2011年获得享有盛誉的法国国家科学院金奖(CNRS Gold Medal 2011)。此外,Jules Hoffmann教授还是法兰西荣誉军团军官和法兰西学院的“不朽者”(法兰西学院院士)。
目前,霍夫曼教授是广州医科大学广州霍夫曼免疫研究所的名誉所长以及科学委员会主席。从2018学年度开始正式招收博士研究生。欢迎具有分子生物学、细胞生物学以及免疫学教育背景的学生申报。表现优异者,可以申请斯特拉斯堡与广州医科大学双博士学位。
