Recently, a number of high-end foreign experts in Sino-French Hoffmann Institute were approved for the application for the "2018 projects for foreign experts" in the field of science, education, culture and health from the National Foreign Experts Bureau.

The research direction of SFHI includes the innovative research of innate immunity mechanism and the research mechanism of allergic and inflammatory reaction by using drosophila model. SFHI has been selected into the ‘Innovation and Talent Introduction Program’. Professor Dominique Ferrandon, Professor RAZ, Professor Zhang Haibo, Professor Jongdae Lee and Professor Chen Zhoufeng were selected as “high-level foreign experts”. Guangzhou Medical University became the first local college in Guangdong Province to be approved as “111 Base”.
